Mommy, can we take him home?

kangaroo.jpg

I wish some little Aussie kid had said that about me, because then I could have stayed. Do you know how I feel about coming back home? Like this.

In any case, it's sad but true: After 20 hours of flying and a 14-hour jetlag impact, I'm back. Thanks much to Berto and Rob for holding down the fort while I was away. Australia was a truly beautiful place, where we did much exploring -- but during it all, we did not wear fanny packs. It wasn't a style decision, though: In Aussie slang, fanny means vagina. Seriously.

Many funny photos and Australian anecdotes are coming, so stay tuned.

'Fanny' means vagina in england too babe...

We only discovered your site last month, you promptly deserted us, but the stand in guys did you proud. The penguin baseball game is now causing havoc with the british economy. I kid you not, I work for a V large energy supplier, 10% of british workforce (god this country needs to get a life.. or at least an economy not based on 'customer services' [I'd settle for a decent film industry, but that's another rant entirely]. Since I posted your site, targets in ALL departments have dropped by 40%. Seems the competitive nature is dead in us til shirking actual work is involved, then we find true commitment. Don't be alarmed though, we're a fickle bunch, the craze is already dying.. the MD got the highest score, 347..
PS. Glad you had good time in OZ, did Joey put out? He looks a tad unsure.. maybe he's a republican? K

Wow, I feel like I should write Tony Blair an apology.

No, sadly, Joey didn't put out -- and I totally bought dinner and chocolates too. I tried putting the moves on, but he got hopping mad. Get it? Hopping? Ha! Oh, the zingers keep coming.

Yeah, Fanny means that in UK and just about everywhere I think EXCEPT the US of A...

although, we call these Fanny Packs "Bum Bags" which, I'm sure you will find almost equally as amusing...
